New Beginning for Biplab

Biplab
Biplab

Biplab (aka "Biplap the Heartthrob"), 12--Biplab is just an all around great guy. He was kind enough to take a few moments out of his busy schedule of going to school, playing soccer and of course, being a heartthrob. Here's his story.

Bip's father was poisoned and passed away when he was just an infant. Three years later, his mother died of malaria. She worked in the fields, and like so many other poor laborers in India, was unable to get sufficient medical treatment before it was too late. It was certainly a tough start for young Bip, but God had a plan for him. A plan that would give him a chance at a bright future. But it was not without struggle...

After his mother died, there no was no one to take care of Bip, but a local cow herder took him in under one condition--that he work for him. So Bip survived by feeding this man's cows for several years.

The man did not particularly care for Biplab, nor did he pay him for his work, he simply gave him a shabby place to sleep and enough rice to keep him alive. Biplab endured this misery until one day he met a local HG-sponsored pastor. The pastor was moved by the boy's pitiable situation, but the cow-herder did not want to let him go because he was essentially free labor. But after meeting with the man several times, he finally relented and let Biplab go to live in Magnolia 5 in 2000. Since that day, Bip has blossomed at the home and turned into a fine young man. He enjoys studying English, playing soccer, and aspires to be a pastor one day. Praise God for a new beginning for this precious child.
